Three bears, ice, and sunshine
Today, 6/13, we travelled from Bear Island to southeast Svalbard, 400 miles north of Norway's main coast. We saw three polar bears, but only one was close enough to photograph. This was the first day I wished I had a "big dog" lens. Here aare several heavily cropped pictures, and one that looks like what we actually saw:
